Our Cub Pack...
Cub Scouts are for young people, both boys and girls, aged between 8 and 10 1/2 years old. Cubs is all about having fun, making new friends and trying new things! To join the Cub Pack there is no requirement to having been a Beaver Scout first, however if the Cub Pack is full we give priority to Beaver Scouts who are old enough to move up. There are a lot of fun things for Cub Scouts to do and they are given the chance to try lots of different activities. Swimming, kayaking, music, exploring the outdoors, gaining badges and taking part in games are just some of the opportunities Cub Scouts have. We also hold a Cub camp each year, where the cubs sleep in dorms or tents together and take part in lots of different activities outdoors around the Scout Centre.
The Cub Scout programme is full of fun, challenging and rewarding activities, with the Cubs often working in small groups and enjoying the outdoors.
1st Godstone Cub Scouts meet in the Endeavour on a Monday evening from 6.30 pm – 8.00 pm.
Joining the Cub Pack...
Please note that our Cub pack is currently full. We don't expect to have any spaces available for new boys or girls in the near future as priority is given to Beaver Scouts from our Colony moving up to our Cub Pack..
When a new Cub joins the Pack, we have a short ceremony called an ‘investiture.’ This is when they make their Cub Scout Promise in front of the Cub Pack, and officially become a Cub Scout. The promise is an important part of becoming a member of the pack, and by making the promise a Cub commits to try their best and to keep the Cub Scout Law.
