1st Godstone Scout Group is a registered charity and can reclaim 25p for every £1 you donate, including subscriptions. If you are a UK Taxpayer please consider completing a Gift Aid Declaration. Gift Aid significantly increases the Group’s income and the activities and events that we can participate in.
To be eligible, you must pay an amount of Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax for each tax year (6 April one year to 5 April the next) that is at least equal to the amount of tax that 1st Godstone and any other charities will reclaim on your gifts for that tax year. If this is not the case, you understand that you are responsible for paying any difference between the tax you’ve paid and the Gift Aid claimed on your donation(s)
Please notify treasurer@1stgodstone.org.uk if you:
-
wish to cancel this declaration
-
need to change your name or home address
-
no longer pay sufficient tax on your income and/or capital gains.
This transitional relief for the charity does not affect your personal tax position.
If you pay Income Tax at the higher rate, you must include all your Gift Aid donations on your Self Assessment tax return if you want to receive the additional tax relief due to you.
The gift aid form can be downloaded by clicking the link below, once completed please hand the form to your section leader or alternatively email it to the address above.
